Sound of Metal is all about Riz Ahmed which takes us along on a musician's gut-wrenching journey in coming to terms with his deteriorating hearing. A drummer in a metal band who begins to suffer from severe hearing loss, and the film takes us on his journey through such a life-changing event.
The film delivers powerful messages on life and how to best live it and even relationships and how and why some people may be better apart. To watch this film is to be immersed in a deaf person's world of rage, passion, love and healing and what a stirring world this is. 
Up for 6 Academy nominations this year, and Riz Ahmed was up against the great Anthony Hopkins. I haven't watched 'The Father' yet, but for what I have seen in Sound of Metal all I can say Riz Ahmed acted really well.  It was one of the finest performance with great screenplay & direction more importantly a great lesson that life is unpredictable one has to adjust himself or herself to the luxury as well as for the pain too.
People need to learn to live with some things and this movie is a perfect example for that. A career-defining performance. Prepare yourself for an impactful, unsettling watch that is sure to haunt you.

The Irishman (2019)

Yes, sir, I do. I do. And I, uh, I also do my own carpentry. If you are a fan of watching crime, gangster movies which are based on a true story then The Irishman is the best thing to binge. And in order to fully appreciate the movie, you gotta watch it more than once. Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro yet again collaborate to present a masterpiece.  The best thing about The Irishman is that it keeps you on the edge despite being a 210 minutes long movie. The CGI in the movie is absolutely perfect.
