Knives Out (2019)

Image
Starring- Daniel Craig, Ana De Armas, Chris Evans, Jaime Lee-Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford, and Christopher Plummer.  Directed By- Rian Johnson. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Benoit Blanc-  “Best judge of character is a dog. I've found that to be true.” 'Knives Out' is one of those movies in which the viewer feels that anyone could be the murderer. The movie has a power-packed performance from Ana De Armas, Toni Collette, and Chris Evans.  Also, very well written and directed by Rian Johnson. The movie drives itself from a murder mystery to a complete thriller.  The Sound of the 85th birthday celebration of a great Crime Novelist: Harlam Thrombey (Christopher Plummer), and then being uncharacteristically killed by one of his own family members is a joy to watch.  "My House My Rules My Coffee" This surprising film has high marks in all th...

Bad Education (2019)

Image
Starring- Hugh Jackman, Allison Janney, Ray Romano, Geraldine Vishwanathan.  Directed By- Cory Finley. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Frank Tusson- " My problem ?  My problem is you .  It's the people who trot their poor children out like racehorses at Belmont; who derive some perverse joy out of treating us like low - level service reps". Director Corey Finley usually has mysterious humor , which he portrays with wit, style, and a terrific cast and crew.  Hugh Jackman  does some of the best work of his long and varied career as the superintendent, Dr. Frank Tassone, whose charisma and polished image disguised a multitude of secrets. Jackman plays on his usual charm and looks to great effect. Pushy parents basking in the reflected glory of driving their kids toward extreme excellence is not exactly a new phenomenon. Long before the college admissions scandal that brought down corporate executiv...

Once Upon A Time.....in Hollywood (2019)

Image
Starring- Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, and Al Pacino. Directed by- Quentin Tarantino. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trudi : "I believe it's  the  job  of an  actor  - and I say  actor , not actress because the word actress is nonsensical -  it's the actor's job to avoid  impediments to their performance.  It's the actor's job  to strive for one hundred percent effectiveness. Naturally, we never succeed, but  it's  the pursuit..that's meaningful". The above quote justifies the emotion and feelings of an actor who strives to become one hundred percent successful. Although, it has been quoted by a 12-year-old girl. Just Tarantino things.  Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood has been perfectly written and directed by the great Quentin Tarantino which is also his 9th film. The story revolves aro...

The Irishman (2019)

Image
Starring- Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Ray Romano and Al Pacino.  Directed By- Martin Scorsese ----------------------------------------------------- Jimmy Hoffa - "I heard you paint houses" Frank Sheeran:  Yes. Yes, sir, I do. I do. And I, uh, I also do my own carpentry. If you are a fan of watching crime, gangster movies which are based on a true story then The Irishman is the best thing to binge. And in order to fully appreciate the movie, you gotta watch it more than once. Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro yet again collaborate to present a masterpiece.  The best thing about The Irishman is that it keeps you on the edge despite being a 210 minutes long movie. The CGI in the movie is absolutely perfect. Over the period of 50 years being shown in the movie, you can easily recognise the change in the characters facial expressions (De Niro and Joe Pesci).  The story revolves around Frank Sheeran (De Niro) who started as a truck driver, then gets recruited by Russell Ba...
