A Few Good Men (1992)

Image
Starring - Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland, Wolfgang Bodison. Directed By - Bob Reiner. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nathan R. Jessep : "You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something". There are a few good men out there. In this crime drama, two soldiers are placed on trial for the murder of a young cadet. Their only hope is a lawyer in the army who lacks evidence of any kind. Now, he must pool in his resources if he is to solve the case and get the verdict in his favor. The law and military are complicated outside of the battlefield. This drama tells a tale of how the quest for justice is a long one, but totally worth it. Jack Nicholson is a star act. Everything ...

LUDO (2020)

Image
Starring - Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Raj Kumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Saraff.  Directed By -  Anurag Basu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ayush - "  Kam paise mein khush rehna difficult hai ... par zyade mein impossible". It was an Average movie. Nothing to be excited about. It had it's moments but for the better part it was a disaster.  Bollywood does the same Nonsense again. Shows Hindus Gods dancing and as jokers! And by the way a useless story, headache. Would have been unwatchable if there was no Abhishek & that kid. Bollywood need to do better than this, a lot better. Aditya Roy was a treat and no one can out perform Pankaj Tripathi on the big stage. Anurag Basu brought all the useless stories about five different people which people belive that was something presumably awesome packaged as something they are not ...

There Will Be Blood (2007)

Image
Starring - Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Dano, Dillion Freasier, Ciaran Hinds, Kevin J. O'Connor. Written and Directed By - Paul Thomas Anderson. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daniel Plainview:   I HAVE ABANDONED MY CHILD! I HAVE ABANDONED MY CHILD! I HAVE ABANDONED MY BOY!  I have abandoned my child! Daniel Planview - "I Have A Competition In Me. I Want No One Else To Succeed". Daniel Day Lewis is the greatest actor of all time for a reason, the way he transforms himself from being broke, scratching in the dirt, dragging himself with an elbow for miles to cash in his find, to the more than ruthless oil baron. There are several eyecatching lines from the great actor that I would like to state out- "I hate most people...there are times when I look at people and I see nothing worth liking" "One Night, I'm Gonna Come To You, Inside Of Your House, Wherever You're Sleeping, An...

The Big Short (2016)

Image
Starring - Steve Carell, Christain Bale, Ryan  Gosling, Finn Wittrock, Jeremy Strong, Marisa Tomei, and Brad Pitt.  Directed By - Adam McKay.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Baum -  " We live in an era of fraud in America. Not just in banking, but in government, education, religion, food, even baseball... What bothers me isn't that fraud is not nice. Or that fraud is mean. For fifteen thousand years, fraud and short-sighted thinking have never, ever worked. Not once. Eventually, you get caught, things go south. When the hell did we forget all that? I thought we were better than this, I really did" Great movie for anyone interested in the housing bubble and subsequent financial crisis of '07-'08. Outstanding and unique docudrama that also includes many flashes of brilliant comedy. Very few people know how close we came to a second Depression. This movie exposes the greedy white men...

The Pianist (2002)

Image
Starring - Adrien Brody, Emilia Fox, Thomas Kretschmann, Frank Finaly, Ed Stoppard. Directed by - Roman Polanski. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Władysław Szpilman-  “The life of a human being, let alone his personal freedom, is a matter of no importance. But the love of freedom is native to every human being and every nation, and cannot be suppressed in the long term. History teaches us that tyranny has never endured. And now we have blood-guilt on our conscience for the dreadful injustice of murdering the Jewish inhabitants.” Everything that happens in this film is so sad. Especially if you are a history buff. Please, I think this film should be in the top 10 best films of all time. World War II is one of the most frightening wars in history, if you read more about The Holocaust, you get more into it and you should. If you are not interested, then watch this film. It's a must see, otherwise how els...

Taxi Driver (1976)

Image
Starring - Robert De Niro, Jodi Foster, Harvey Keitel, Cybill Shephard, Leonard Harris, and Martin Scorsese. Directed By - Martin Scorsese.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Travis Bickle : " Loneliness has followed me my whole life , everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape. I'm God's  lonely  man". “I got some bad ideas in my head.” Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver is a dark thriller that has troupes usually associated with lonliness and emptiness in a man's life. Featuring cinema’s great antihero, Tarvis Bickle (Robert de Niro). Bickle is an ex-marine who served in Vietnam, and now suffers from depression and severe insomnia, and takes a job working the graveyard shift as a cab driver. Robert De Niro’s performance is oft-imitated, but never bettered. De Niro's acting was competent. He delivered his $35,000's worth. It is Foster's acting ...

Django Unchained (2012)

Image
Starring - Jaime Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo Di Caprio, Kerry Washington, Walter Goggins, and Samuel L. Jackson. Written and Directed by - Quentin Tarantino. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. King Schutlz -   Normally, Monsieur Candie, I would say "Auf wiedersehen." But since what "auf wiedersehen" actually means is ' 'till I see you again" , and since I never wish to see you again, to you sir, I say, goodbye. "Tarantino-Gasm" I would say. Quentin Tarantino is a genius when it comes to violent movie nobody could direct like him. Critics and reviewers often say that he uses too much violence in his movie but they forget to mention that how he uses an incredible concept with reliable characters even the bad guys in his movie would gain audience sympathy. Django unchained is entirely different from 12 Years a Slave. Django Unchained has all of the Tarantino...
