Murray Abraham, and Owen Wilson. Directed By- Wes Anderson. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ M. Gustave- " She Needs Me, And I Need You, To Help Me With My Bags And So On." Welcome to the Grand Budapest Hotel. We recount the story of a lobby boy and the main concierge of the titular hotel who gets in way over their heads. This is personally my favourite Wes Anderson movie out of all his inspiring creations. I love how the movie is divided into chapters and how each has a straightforward storyline driving it forward. There is humour, romance, absurdness and generally breathtaking, meticulously-constructed scenes as usual. From the start of the film it is clear that you are watching a Wes Anderson film. The colour palette and set design are obvious visual clues for t...

WandaVision (2021- )

Image
Starring- Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Evan Peters, Teyonah Parris, Randall Park, Kat Dennings, and Kathryn Hann. Directed By- Matt Shakman. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wanda Maximoff- "We are an unusual couple you know". Vision- Oh! I don't think that was ever in question. Episodes 1-2 were pretty bland but I could understand the concept of it after watching the later episodes. At first, I didn't really understand the plot of the show, wondering what this WandaVision thing was about, but after literally binging the episodes I was amazed. As a person who has watched all of the MCU movies throughout the years, I was pleased with how they presented the show as a whole. The storyline is impeccable and it fits right between Infinity War and after Endgame perfectly. I also liked how they incorporated Captain Marvel by adding Carol's best friend's daughter as one of the characters which gave us mo...

GOODFELLAS (1990)

Image
Starring- Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Borraco, and Paul Sorvino. Directed By- Martin Scorsese. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Henry Hill- "As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster". Goodfellas" is a cinematic masterpiece from start to finish with it's brilliant pacing, brilliant performances and brilliant storytelling from Martin Scorsese. What makes "Goodfellas" stand out from other mobster films is it's brutal portrayal of a life of crime, and nails every detail of the highs and lows in such a way that's cinematically stunning. So many iconic, quotable scenes make this one of the best films of all time. The cinematography along with the excellent choice of songs for the movie stands for Scorsese’s cliche style of direction, the movie explains itself through the music and beautiful shots of excellence. Who doesn’t get a chills through the spines when you...

Is Love Enough? Sir (2018)

Image
Starring- Tillotama Shome, Vivek Gomber, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Rahul Vohra, and Anupriya Goenka. Directed By- Rohena Gera ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Ashwin: Do you believe in God?  Ratna: Karna padta hai  Sir . I heard a lot about this movie, a lot of positive reviews but I have to admit that, the movie wasn't as great as people say.  Highly real and uncomfortable without hitting it hard, that's the triumph of this film. It makes you realize that do you have to just be good and non-discriminatory or do you have to do a lot more to blur the class divides in our society. The movie starts where Ashwin leaves someone at the altar as he is not the clingy boyfriend romantic kinds so it is an irony to see him fall for a girl who is whole lot different and he certainly doesn't seem the right guy for her either. The movie seems biased towards showing the points on how this could be a normal relati...
